What is "accelerometer technology"?

Accelerometers are used in a wide variety of applications, including cars, devices to measure seismic activity, inclination, or machine vibration, as well as personal electronic devices. The I-phone, for example, incorporates accelerometer technology, as does the Nintendo Wii remote.

Modes of Operation
- KAM Point Mode: his is the basic measure of activity. The unit displays which of three zones you are currently in: Life, Health, or Sport, depending on your current level of intensity.
- Zone Mode: Used for checking your stats, this mode will show you how many minutes you have spent so far in each of the three zones mentioned above.
- Calorie Burn Mode: Displays the number of calories you have burned that day. A simple switch toggles between the daily calorie burn and your rolling average for the last 7 days.
- Nutritional Counter Mode: for manual input of the number of fruits and vegetables eaten that day. This becomes an important part of tracking your progress towards your health and fitness goals.
- Clock Mode: There is also a clock mode which will display current time.
